Chris Barber
Director
Chris studied Law and French at both Cardiff University and Amiens, France. Having spent time working in France, he returned to the UK and joined Robertsons to work in our property department. He then undertook his training contract, qualifying in 2011.
Chris has a wealth of past clients who go to great lengths to voice their praise for his handling of their cases, in particular noting his depth of legal knowledge, his focus on resolving matters quickly and amicably, and his ability to remove the complexity from legal situations. He is known for his personable character and being calm and supportive for his clients.
Chris is an expert in all aspects of family law, specialising in complicated financial cases, cohabitation disputes and children matters between both divorcing couples and partners (including those in same sex relationships).
Chris is accredited by Resolution (first for family law) and is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children. He has also been accredited as a civil & commercial mediator and has previously published a book on business law.
Hannah Magee
Director
Hannah qualified in 2006 and joined Robertsons in 2018. She has gained extensive experience in her field including complex and high net worth financial matters, cases involving businesses and cases with an international element. She has a highly pragmatic and focused approach to all of her cases.
Hannah has been highlighted in the Legal 500, described as being ‘clever and thorough’, ‘knowledgeable and empathetic’ and someone who ‘always gets the job done’. Earlier in her career Hannah was highlighted by Legal 500 as one of the ‘leading young matrimonial lawyers in the field’.
Hannah has been ranked in the internationally recognised Chambers & Partners for 4 consecutive years, In 2022 she is described as having “excellent judgment” and being “pragmatic and sensible”.
With a reputation for being calm, Hannah always seeks quick and amicable solutions to disputes but also has the ability to fight hard for her clients if the circumstances require it. She is also an accredited member of the Law Society Family Law Panel.
Lisa Shrimpton

Lisa qualified in 2010 and joined Robertsons in 2021. She will expertly advise and guide clients through their disputes with a ‘no-nonsense’ approach and a focus on securing a good outcome.

Kelly Shaw
Solicitor
Kelly obtained a degree in Law and Criminology from the University of South Wales and started her career working with Admiral Law dealing with personal injury and financial loss. Kelly then took a change of direction to work in family law at a firm in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Kelly has gained extensive experience in matters ranging from private law children work to matrimonial and financial disputes. Kelly joined Robertsons in 2019 and her attention to detail and exceptional intellect make her an outstanding member of the family law team.
Kelly successfully completed her training contract with the firm and Legal Practice Course at the University of South Wales. She officially qualified in 2023.
